As part of a 39-14 run to close the game, Peyton Siva found an air-walking Kevin Ware for a back-door alley-oop to give Louisville an insurmountable lead over Syracuse in the Big East Championship game. Ware was injured in the Elite 8, but continued to serve as an inspiration for the team.
