Still trailing by 8 with 3:30 left in the game, New England began a drive with no timeouts remaining and no room for error. At 2:22, Brady threw a 23-yard pass that was deflected up in the air by Alford, then fought over as the ball descended. Unbelievably, the ball was only kept off the ground by Alford's foot, and Edelman was able to reel in the football in the game-tying drive.
