Facing #2 Virginia on the road, Duke was looking to prove they were the better team. With under 5 minutes to play, Duke was down by 8 points but Quinn Cook and Tyus Jones led the team on a furious 11-0 run to win the game. The shot that tied the game was a kick out from Jahil Okafor to Tyus Jones who sent a laser pass to Justise Winslow for the lay up.

Down by 1 point against arch rival North Carolina, Austin Rivers hit a heavily contested 3-point shot over Tyler Zeller as time expired. Rivers scored 29 points in the win against North Carolina and the team then went on to win another 6 straight conference games. The streak included the largest comeback in the Coach K era, overcoming a 16-point deficit against NC State.

Down 10 points with 54 seconds remaining, Jason Williams led a furious comeback against Maryland to take the game to overtime. Duke eventually prevailed, winning 98-96. This gritty ACC regular season effort set the stage for Duke to roll through conference play en route to the school€™s 3rd National Championship.

Perhaps the greatest game-winning shot in the greatest college basketball game ever played. Grant Hill sent a pinpoint pass to Christian Laettner who hit a turnaround jumper as time expired to win the game. The shot capped a perfect 10-for-10 performance for Laettner and sent Duke back to the Final Four. Duke went on to capture their 2nd National title in as many years, becoming the first team to win back-to-back titles since UCLA did so in 1973.
