Kristi Toliver saved the day and she drained a game tying 3 in the waning seconds of the National Championship game. The Terps would get the defensive stop to force overtime, where they'd take the lead and win their first ever Championship.

Maryland was looking to win their second straight Conference Championship and came out firing in the second half with a play that gave Mimi Collins a wide open three and gave the Terps a 21 point lead.

On their way to their first National Championship, Maryland needed overtime to get past a tough Utah team. Shay Doron was able to lose her defender with a backdoor cut and star Kristi Tolliver found her with a great pass to give the Terps a four point lead and eventually the victory.
