The Independence Bowl was Oregon's first bowl game in 26 years. In the 4th quarter it was tied at 24 - 24 with Tulsa driving. Oregon's defense stalled the drive at midfield but Tulsa decided to go for it on 4th. The Oregon defense came up with a huge stop that let them drive for the game winning FG.
