2014 World Series Game 2
Kansas City vs San Francisco
7 - 2
22 October, 2014
The 2014 World Series ping ponged back and forth with each team having big high scoring games. Kansas City's highest scoring game was a 10 - 0 win in Game 6 but they started off the series with a big win in Game 2 and a huge 5 run 6th inning. The inning started with a Lorenzo Cain single and a walk to Eric Hosmer. Billy Butler singled to score Cain and advance Hosmer. After Alex Gordon flied out, a wild pitch advanced Hosmer and Terrance Gore, who had come in to run for Butler. Salvador Perez then doubled to score Hosmer and Gore, which brought Omar Infante to the plate. Infante capped the inning with a 2 run home run.
