Kentucky was on its way to the 2012 National Title but first they had to pass through arch-rival Louisville. Kentucky, led by John Calipari and star Anthony Davis, shot 57% on the night and was clearly the better team. As time wound down Davis threw down a final dunk off a deflection from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Kentucky went on to beat Kansas 67-59 in the Final for their 8th championship.
