2024 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 7

Panthers vs Edmonton
2 - 1

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, it doesn't get much better than this. The Florida Panthers went up 3 games to 0 to start the series, then Edmonton rallied to win 3-straight to force a game 7. With the game quickly tied at 1 each early in the first period, the go ahead winner came from none-other than Sam Reinhart mid way through the 2nd period. This was the third time the Florida Panthers had been to the Stanley Cup Finals, and after losing to the Vegas Golden Knights last season, the Cats finally win their first Stanley Cup 30 years after playing their first season (1993-94 season). History worth noting, while the Oiler didn't win the cup, Captain Connor McDavid won the Conn Smythe trophy for being the most valuable player in the playoffs. He led the playoffs in scoring and broke Wayne Gretzky's assist record for playoffs.

A tight game 4 NHL Eastern Conference Final, between the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers, was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, forcing overtime. 1 minute into overtime, the Panthers drew a penalty and went on the power play. After a few quick passes between all 5 players on the ice, Sam Reinhart was able to rip a shot glove side for the OT winner. This win was big as it was the second home game for the Panthers who were down 2 games to 1. Had they not won this game, they would have been going to New York in a 3-1 deficit.
