Facing elimination in Game 6 of the 2003 Quarterfinals against Colorado, Minnesota needed a big game. Unfortunately Colorado had an answer, scoring two of their own to send the game to overtime. Four minutes into OT, Gaborik skated past defenders to pass the puck to Park who took a shot from the center of the right circle. The shot flew past Colorado's goalie Patrick Roy for the game-winner, forcing Game 7.
