2013 Round of 64
The Comeback
Marquette vs Davidson
59 - 58
21 March, 2013
3 clutch three-pointers quickly diminished Davidson's lead and gave Vander Blue a chance for his second game-winning layup of the year, just weeks after he secured the Big East title for Marquette. He would deliver, clinching the comeback and providing the foundation for Marquette's National Quarterfinals run.
2003 Midwest Regional Final
Flash's triple double
Marquette vs Kentucky
83 - 69
29 March, 2003
Going up against 1 seeded Kentucky, Marquette ended up dominating the game. Novak and Jackson both played terrific but it was Dwayne Wade's triple-double that led Marquette into the National Semifinals for the first time since winning the tournament in 1977.
2013 Regular season
Winning the title
Marquette vs St. John's
69 - 67
9 March, 2013
Marquette's first and only regular season title of the Big East came in dramatic fashion as Vander Blue was able to give Marquette the winning basketball with only 1 second left in overtime. Blue's antics wouldn't end here as he continued his clutch scoring in the nat'l tournament later that month.
1977 National Championship
McGuire goes out on top
Marquette vs North Carolina
67 - 59
28 March, 1977
Easily the greatest moment in Marquette basketball history. Not only did this game give Marquette their only national championship title, it also marked the end of basketball HoF member, legendary coach Al McGuire. In true folklore fashion, McGurie was able to end his coaching career with the title.
Common questions
Are these a good gift for a Marquette fan?▾
Yes. This coaster set is made for a Marquette fan who really knows and loves the team. They’ll recognize moments like The Comeback and Flash's triple double, and each coaster gives them another piece of Marquette history to talk about. It’s more than a logo on a coaster — it’s a way to relive the plays and memories that made them a fan. It’s especially suited to a dad, husband, friend, or hard-to-shop-for Marquette fan who already owns the usual team gear.
Is this a good Christmas gift for a Marquette fan?▾
Yes. These coasters make a unique Christmas gift for Marquette fans, especially someone who already has plenty of jerseys, hats, and traditional team gear. Each coaster brings back a memorable moment from Marquette history, making the set both useful and personal to someone who really follows the team. One customer wrote: “The quality is insane, perfectly matched description. Bought for my dad for Christmas and as a man that is incredibly hard to buy for he loved them and are a great convo starter with his friends, Great gift would buy from this seller again.” — Etsy Customer, January 11, 2023
What makes these different from traditional sports merchandise?▾
These coasters focus on memorable plays rather than a team logo. Each one features an original Playbook diagram of a real Marquette play, drawn to show how the moment unfolded. Playbook Products is not affiliated with or endorsed by Marquette or the NCAA.
How long do Marquette coaster orders take to ship?▾
Most Marquette coaster orders are processed within 1–2 business days, then typically arrive 2–4 business days after they ship (U.S.). During busy holiday periods, processing can take longer. A delivery date shown on this page is an estimate.
What if a coaster arrives cracked or damaged?▾
Send us a photo of the damaged coaster within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement. Please hold onto the damaged coaster until we let you know otherwise.
Are these coaster designs AI-generated?▾
No. I've spent hundreds of hours reviewing footage of these plays and drawing them up as they happened. The finished drawings are laser-etched onto the coasters using our own machines. The artwork is not generated by AI. I appreciate you supporting a small business.
