San Jose Earthquakes vs Los Angeles
5 - 2

On their way to their second MLS Cup Championship, San Jose had to get past Los Angeles in the Semifinals. Los Angeles took the first game 2 - 0, and in the first 13 minutes of Game 2 went up another 2. San Jose now needed 5 points to make it to the next round. What followed was an epic comeback. Jeff Agoos, Landon Donovan, Jamil Walker and Chris Roner all scored to take the game to extra time. In the 96th Donovan slotted a perfect psas to Rodrigo Faria who slotted it past the keeper and won the game for San Jose.
