2015 World Series: Game 5
Hosmer's mad dash
Royals vs New York
7 - 2
1 November, 2015
After narrowly missing out on a title in 2014, the Royals took care of business in five games this time, launching another breathtaking rally to tie the Mets in the ninth inning and then disposing of them with a five-run outburst in the 12th to secure a 7-2 win in Game 5 on Sunday night at Citi Field, grabbing their first World Series championship since 1985. The Royals, down 2-0 in the ninth, began to put together their record eighth come-from-behind victory this postseason. Cain walked and stole second against Mets starter Matt Harvey, who had been virtually unhittable for eight innings. Then, Hosmer rifled a run-scoring double off the wall, and Mets manager Terry Collins went to closer Jeurys Familia, who induced a Mike Moustakas groundout that moved Hosmer to third. Then the Royals pulled off yet another one of their trademark daring plays: Salvador Perez sent a chopper to third baseman David Wright, who looked back Hosmer then threw to first to get the second out. As soon as Wright released the ball, Hosmer broke for home. A good throw to the plate by first baseman Lucas Duda likely would have ended the game with a double play, but the ball sailed wide and to the backstop and the game was tied, 2-2.
1992 Regular Season
The 3,000 Club
Royals vs California
4 - 0
30 September, 1992
George Brett, Kansas City's greatest ever player. Playing his entire career with the team, he led KC to a World Series and many notable wins. When he earned his place in the 3,000 club he established himself as not only a KC great, but a baseball great.
2014 Wild Card Game
A Wild Game
Royals vs Oakland
9 - 8
30 September, 2014
Trailing 7-3 in the 8th, it seemed KC had no chance of winning. As fate would have it, the game was tied in the 9th and then, having given up a run in the top of the 12th, scored twice in the bottom to advance to the ALDS and spark a run that led all the way to the World Series. It was magical.
1985 World Series: Game 6
We go to a 7!
Royals vs St. Louis
2 - 1
26 October, 1985
Game 6 facing elimination in the bottom of the 9th. Kansas City was able to load up the bases and Iorg hit a looping single to right field driving in not only the tying run, but also a second winning run. Kansas City would dominate Game 7 in anti-climatic fashion, winning their first World Series.
Common questions
Are these a good gift for a Royals fan?
Yes. This coaster set is made for a Royals fan who really knows and loves the team. They’ll recognize moments like Hosmer's mad dash and The 3,000 Club, and each coaster gives them another piece of Royals history to talk about. It’s more than a logo on a coaster — it’s a way to relive the plays and memories that made them a fan. It’s especially suited to a dad, husband, friend, or hard-to-shop-for Royals fan who already owns the usual team gear.
Is this a good Christmas gift for a Royals fan?
Yes. These coasters make a unique Christmas gift for Royals fans, especially someone who already has plenty of jerseys, hats, and traditional team gear. Each coaster brings back a memorable moment from Royals history, making the set both useful and personal to someone who really follows the team. Our coaster sets are especially popular as Christmas gifts, with more than 16,000 five-star reviews across Shopify and Etsy.

What makes these different from traditional sports merchandise?
These coasters focus on memorable plays rather than a team logo. Each one features an original Playbook diagram of a real Royals play, drawn to show how the moment unfolded. Playbook Products is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Royals or Major League Baseball.
How long do Royals coaster orders take to ship?
Most Royals coaster orders are processed within 1–2 business days, then typically arrive 2–4 business days after they ship (U.S.). During busy holiday periods, processing can take longer. A delivery date shown on this page is an estimate.
What if a coaster arrives cracked or damaged?
Send us a photo of the damaged coaster within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement. Please hold onto the damaged coaster until we let you know otherwise.
Are these coaster designs AI-generated?
No. I've spent hundreds of hours reviewing footage of these plays and drawing them up as they happened. The finished drawings are laser-etched onto the coasters using our own machines. The artwork is not generated by AI. I appreciate you supporting a small business.
