1999 Stanley Cup Finals: Game 6
Hull's winner
Stars vs Buffalo
2 - 1
19 June, 1999
Dallas entered Game 6 of the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals up 3 games to 2. Jere Lehtinen scored first for Dallas but Buffalo answered back in the second period to tie the game. The game was still tied after two OTs, and almost fifteen minutes had passed in the third OT. Then Lehtinen took a shot from the circle and Brett Hull got the putback off the deflection. The goal won the game and netted Dallas their first Stanley Cup.
2000 Western Conference Finals: Game 7
"Eddie's better!"
Stars vs Colorado
3 - 2
27 May, 2000
Game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals was a battle of goalies. Prior to the game Eddie Belfour had declared before the game that he was just as good as Colorado's goalie Patrick Roy. By the third period of the game Dallas had taken a 3-2 lead and it was up to Belfour to hold on. The crowd was chanting "Eddie's better! Eddie's better!" and with the clock ticking down, Belfour made one last great save off a shot by Colorado's Ray Bourque.
2007 Regular Season
America's greatest scorer
Stars vs San Jose
3 - 1
7 November, 2007
Mike Modano is one of the greatest Dallas players, and in 2007 he became America's all time points leader. He broke the record, previously held by Phil Housley, scoring 2 goals against San Jose in the first 5 minutes of the game. The second goal, and record breaker, was a short-handed goal on a breakaway.
2008 Western Conference Semis: Game 6
Morrow's winner
Stars vs San Jose
2 - 1
4 May, 2008
Dallas took the first three games of the Conference Semifinals against San Jose before dropping the next two. Now back on their home ice for Game 6, they were looking to shut down San Jose and move on to the Conference Finals. Dallas scored first in the second period, but San Jose answered in the third and drove it to overtime. Three OTs later the score was still tied at one apiece. With 9 minutes gone in the fourth OT Dallas got a power play and Mike Ribeiro found Stephane Robidas, who passed to Brenden Morrow in front of the net. Morrow's game-winner propelled Dallas on to the Finals.
Common questions
Are these a good gift for a Stars fan?▾
Yes. This coaster set is made for a Stars fan who really knows and loves the team. They’ll recognize moments like Hull's winner and "Eddie's better!", and each coaster gives them another piece of Stars history to talk about. It’s more than a logo on a coaster — it’s a way to relive the goals and memories that made them a fan. It’s especially suited to a dad, husband, friend, or hard-to-shop-for Stars fan who already owns the usual team gear.
Is this a good Christmas gift for a Stars fan?▾
Yes. These coasters make a unique Christmas gift for Stars fans, especially someone who already has plenty of jerseys, hats, and traditional team gear. Each coaster brings back a memorable moment from Stars history, making the set both useful and personal to someone who really follows the team. Our coaster sets are especially popular as Christmas gifts, with more than 16,000 five-star reviews across Shopify and Etsy.
One customer wrote: “The quality is insane, perfectly matched description. Bought for my dad for Christmas and as a man that is incredibly hard to buy for he loved them and are a great convo starter with his friends, Great gift would buy from this seller again.” — Etsy Customer, January 11, 2023
What makes these different from traditional sports merchandise?▾
These coasters focus on memorable goals rather than a team logo. Each one features an original Playbook diagram of a real Stars goal, drawn to show how the moment unfolded. Playbook Products is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Stars or the NHL.
How long do Stars coaster orders take to ship?▾
Most Stars coaster orders are processed within 1–2 business days, then typically arrive 2–4 business days after they ship (U.S.). During busy holiday periods, processing can take longer. A delivery date shown on this page is an estimate.
What if a coaster arrives cracked or damaged?▾
Send us a photo of the damaged coaster within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement. Please hold onto the damaged coaster until we let you know otherwise.
Are these coaster designs AI-generated?▾
No. I've spent hundreds of hours reviewing footage of these goals and drawing them up as they happened. The finished drawings are laser-etched onto the coasters using our own machines. The artwork is not generated by AI. I appreciate you supporting a small business.
