1990 Week 2
Proving they belong
Virginia vs Clemson
20 - 7
8 September, 1990
Virginia was looking to defeat Clemson for the first time in program history and put themselves in the national spotlight. After being referred to as "the white meat of our schedule" by former Clemson coach, Virginia finally took down the Tigers in a commanding 20-7 victory highlighted by jump ball touchdown that quarterback Shawn Moore heaved up as the pocket collapsed on him.
1995 Week 10
Miracle on Thursday Night
Virginia vs Florida St
33 - 28
2 November, 1995
Playing in front of a national audience, Virginia had a tall task with #2 Florida State coming to town. Florida State, who had joined the conference 5 years earlier, had yet to lose a game against another ACC opponent. That was until the Cavaliers took them down, featuring a spectacular 72 yard touchdown catch by receiver Demetrius Allen, and finished with a controversial goal line stand which saw Seminole's RB Warrick Dunn get his helmet, but not the football, across the goal line.
1998 Week 14
The Comeback
Virginia vs Virginia Tech
36 - 32
28 November, 1998
The Cavaliers went in to the half trailing 29-7 against their arch rivals Virginia Tech and were going to need to play a near perfect second half in order to come away with the victory. That's exactly what they got with an interception return and two Aaron Brooks touchdown passes. With a little over two minutes remaining, Brooks hit a streaking Ahmad Dawson for a 47 yard touchdown that put the Cavs up 36-32 and would prove to be the game winning touchdown.
2011 Week 12
First win in Tallahassee
Virginia vs Florida St
14 - 13
19 November, 2011
In Virginia's first victory playing at Florida State in program history, true freshman Kevin Parks gave the Cavaliers a one point lead with under two minutes remaining with his 10 yard touchdown rush that featured great blocking and impressive elusiveness by Parks.
Common questions
Are these a good gift for a Virginia fan?▾
Yes. This coaster set is made for a Virginia fan who really knows and loves the team. They’ll recognize moments like Proving they belong and Miracle on Thursday Night, and each coaster gives them another piece of Virginia history to talk about. It’s more than a logo on a coaster — it’s a way to relive the plays and memories that made them a fan. It’s especially suited to a dad, husband, friend, or hard-to-shop-for Virginia fan who already owns the usual team gear.
Is this a good Christmas gift for a Virginia fan?▾
Yes. These coasters make a unique Christmas gift for Virginia fans, especially someone who already has plenty of jerseys, hats, and traditional team gear. Each coaster brings back a memorable moment from Virginia history, making the set both useful and personal to someone who really follows the team. What makes these different from traditional sports merchandise?▾
These coasters focus on memorable plays rather than a team logo. Each one features an original Playbook diagram of a real Virginia play, drawn to show how the moment unfolded. Playbook Products is not affiliated with or endorsed by Virginia or the NCAA.
How long do Virginia coaster orders take to ship?▾
Most Virginia coaster orders are processed within 1–2 business days, then typically arrive 2–4 business days after they ship (U.S.). During busy holiday periods, processing can take longer. A delivery date shown on this page is an estimate.
What if a coaster arrives cracked or damaged?▾
Send us a photo of the damaged coaster within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement. Please hold onto the damaged coaster until we let you know otherwise.
Are these coaster designs AI-generated?▾
No. I've spent hundreds of hours reviewing footage of these plays and drawing them up as they happened. The finished drawings are laser-etched onto the coasters using our own machines. The artwork is not generated by AI. I appreciate you supporting a small business.
