Relive one of the greatest moments in Army football history with this ceramic 11oz mug depicting this play:
1985 Peach Bowl
Jones to Spellmon
Army vs Illinois
31 - 29
31 December, 1985
After winning the Cherry Bowl in 1984, Army was looking to beat another Big Ten team in the '85 Peach Bowl. Illinois kept the game close, and briefly took the lead in the 3rd quarter, putting Army down by 2. Army had an answer for that, with Clarence Jones tossing a 26 yard completion to Scott Spellmon. Army never trailed after that and achieved back-to-back bowl wins.
