2004 Eastern Conference Finals
Win in Penalties
DC United vs New England
3 - 3
6 November, 2004
This is widely considered one of the best game in MLS history. Every goal D.C. scored was answered by one from New England. After six goals and six yellow cards in regulation the game advanced to penalties, and after 5 penalties the teams were still even. Brian Carroll stepped up for the sixth penalty and sank it into the top left corner. Then Clint Dempsey took the penalty for New England and tried to hit it low to the right. Nick Rimando saved the goal and D.C. advanced.

1998 Copa Interamericana
First U.S. Team to Win
DC United vs Vasco da Gama
2 - 0
5 December, 1998
In 1998 the final Copa Interamericana pitted D.C. against Vasco de Gama and it was America's final chance to win the Cup. Vasco de Gama took the first leg, and D.C. entered the second game down a point. Tony Sanneh got a goal in the 34th to even the score and then Eddie Pope came up big once again off a volley from Roy Lassiter. The goal gave D.C. the win on points and finally won the Cup for the U.S.A.

1996 MLS Cup Final
First Championship
DC United vs Los Angeles
3 - 2
20 October, 1996
D.C.'s first Championship was also the first MLS Cup ever. Midway through the game though it did not look like D.C. would prevail. Trailing 0 - 2 to Los Angeles, D.C. made two key substitutions that netted them two goals. Tony Sanneh and Shawn Medved both scored to take the game to extra time. In the 94th minute D.C. got a corner kick and Eddie Pope got his head on it, netting the golden goal and D.C. the title.

2013 U.S. Open Cup Final
The Third Cup
DC United vs Salt Lake City
1 - 0
1 October, 2013
In their fifth trip to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final, D.C. faced a tough battle against Salt Lake City. Both teams went scoreless for most of the first half. Then right before the whistle, John Thorrington cuts into the box and flicks a pass to Dwayne De Rosario that gets deflected into open territory in the 18 yard box. Lewis Neal was perfectly positioned and took the shot that put D.C. up by one right before half. After holding Salt Lake City scoreless in the second, D.C. had it's third U.S. Open Cup Championship.

These coasters are perfect. Love that the final score from one of my all time favorite games is right on them. I have other coasters with just my team’s name on them, but when I saw these, I needed them for sure. They look so much better than just a team name, and are great quality. They are very unique and would make a great gift for a sports fan like me.

I ordered these coasters and it took over a month for them to arrive. I was very disappointed. I sent several emails — it had no impact on my order.
