2000 Western Conference Finals: Game 7
Kobe to Shaq
Lakers vs Portland
89 - 84
4 June, 2000
In a close game versus Portland in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, the most iconic basket came with 41 seconds remaining. Shaq drifted towards the hoop and signaled to Kobe to give him an alley-oop. The resulting dunk was immortalized with the announcer's call of "Kobe to Shaq!"
1985 Finals: Game 6
Lakers vs Boston
111 - 100
9 June, 1985
With a minute remaining in Game 6 of the 1985 Finals, it was clear that the Lakers would be taking home their 9th championship. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar put up a historic hookshot at the 1:01 mark to give the Lakers an insurmountable 12 point lead over the Celtics.
1980 Finals: Game 6
Magic starts at center
Lakers vs Philadelphia
123 - 107
16 May, 1980
In Game 5 of the NBA Finals Kareem Abdul-Jabbar sprained his ankle and wouldn't be able to play the next game. Thus Game 6 became 20 year-old rookie Magic Johnson's first start at center. He won the starting tip and put up 42 points and 15 rebounds, leading the Lakers to their 7th championship.
2004 Western Conference Semis: Game 5
Lakers vs San Antonio
74 - 73
13 May, 2004
The Lakers had taken a one-point lead with 11 seconds remaining, but Tim Duncan responded with a basket to give the Spurs the lead with .4 sec left. The Lakers had one last chance, and Derek Fisher capitalized, catching the inbound and turning to put the game-winning basket up with no time left.

Ordered TX Rangers coasters for my son and we are really pleased with how they turned out! Such a cool gift idea to remember the 2023 WS!
I love the concept of this product ("greatest plays” coasters), regardless of any debate over what the greatest plays of your favorite teams are… there’s no way to distill that down to 4-5 plays. The coolness factor is the main thing here. I’m not a VA Tech fan, but I know how I would react if someone gave me me something similar. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought the contrast between the slate and the etched plays does not stand out as I think it should. Being natural stone, they have a dusty look. When I wiped one with a wet cloth they stand darkened and the plays stood out more. Maybe they could be coated with something to make the plays stand out without making the slate look too “plasticky?” Also, the slate is a little thin and I’m hoping these hold up over time. Anyway, I’m anxiously awaiting my pal’s reaction to these.
