After taking a 2-0 lead in the series, winning game 3 would've essentially sealed the series win for Denver. Down by 2, Melo received the inbounds and was bumped numerous times during the dribble. He eventually found a wide open look and knocked down the game-winning 3pt with 1 second left.

The first time an 8 seed had won the first round series against the 1 seed. Not only that, but Denver went down 2-0 in the series, winning the next 3 straight to advance. Mutombo had 8 blocks in the final game, including a crucial block on Kemp's attempted layup to tie the game with 30 seconds left.

It was the final game of the season and there was a race for the scoring title between David Thompson and George Gervin. Well, Thompson made his first 8 shots - so he kept shooting. Finishing the first quarter with 32, he continued throughout the game ending with 73 points and the scoring title.
