En route to Carolina's first Super Bowl appearance, they faced a tough test against St. Louis that went into double overtime. The man himself, Steve Smith, would catch a ball on 3rd down and take it all to the house, sending Carolina into the conference championship game.

Sam Mills was the heartbeat of team Carolina's defense as a player and immediately went into a coaching role following retirement. Diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of the 2003-2004 season, he gave a speech before the wildcard playoff game remembered for two words. "Keep Pounding". RIP Sam.

Arguably the best Carolina team ever. After starting the season 14-0, Carolina stormed into the playoffs knocking off reigning champions Seattle and then demolishing Arizona to reach the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in the franchise's short history. Super Cam led the way with 4 total touchdowns.
