The 1970s were a dominate period for Pittsburgh. Veteran and legend of the game, Roberto Clemente hit .414 for the series including a HR in Game 7 to win himself and Pittsburgh another World Series title. Clemente would pass away just over a year after winning WS MVP. Rest In Peace Roberto.

Down 1-3 in the series, odds were against Pittsburgh winning their 5th title. "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge was the team's theme as fans and players rallied together to comeback, culminating in a Game 7 victory. HOF'er Willie Stargell dominated, winning AP Athlete of the Year along with NL MVP.
