During Rocktober, the play-in game had gone to the 13th inning. Trailing 8-7, Holliday smashed a triple that drove in Tulowitski to the tie the game. Shortly after, Carroll stepped up and popped a sacrifice fly deep into right field, giving Holliday just enough time to beat the throw at home.
