All of the Spurs players had excellent games in Game 5 but Manu Ginobili had perhaps the most surprising play. Just before half Ginobili drove the court and put up a monster dunk over Chris Bosh and Ray Allen. The Spurs demolished the Heat in 5 games and gained their 5th title in 15 years.

The Spurs had battled back to get within 2 with 12 seconds remaining. Mario Elie inbounded the ball to Sean Elliott and Elliott came up big, hitting his sixth 3 pointer of the game to give the Spurs a 1 point lead. The momentum helped carry them to their first ever NBA championship.

In the 2nd game of the Western Conference Finals the Spurs were down by 13 pts going into the 4th qtr. That's when the Spurs found another gear, going on a crushing 34-9 run. Steve Kerr was the unlikely hero hitting four 3-pointers. San Antonio won the game and went on to win their 2nd NBA title.

David Robinson entered the last game of the season against the Clippers down 33 pts to Shaquille O?Neal for the scoring title. The Admiral shot 63 percent on 41 attempts and 72 percent on free throws. His last bucket was a jumper over Monta Ellis, giving him 71 and securing him the scoring title.
