2005 National Championship
Battle of the Unbeatens
USC vs Oklahoma
55 - 19
4 January, 2005
USC had maintained their #1 rank all season but had to beat unbeaten Oklahoma to claim the National Championship. Oklahoma scored the first and last touchdown but in between it was all USC with 7 total touchdowns, in the biggest rout in BCS history. The beginning of the rout came with a 33 yard touchdown pass from Matt Leinart to Dominique Byrd.
1974 Regular Season
The Comeback
USC vs Notre Dame
55 - 24
30 November, 1974
It was not looking good for USC facing rival and top-ranked defensive team Notre Dame. USC was trailing 0 - 24 with seconds left in the first half, but Notre Dame would not score again as USC mounted an amazing comeback. Scoring one touchdown before half, USC then put up 49 second half points. They capped the second half rout with a 58 yard interception return for a touchdown by Charles Phillip.
2004 Rose Bowl
True Champions
USC vs Michigan
28 - 14
1 January, 2004
USC was unjustly not selected for the BCS title game despite having the #1 rank, but they proved they were the best team. USC shut out Michigan in the first half of the Rose Bowl and started the second with a crushing 47 yard touchdown. Michigan fought back but it wasn't enough to overcome USC's lead.
1967 AAWU Championship Game
Game of the Century
USC vs UCLA
21 - 20
18 November, 1967
In what has been dubbed the Game of the Century, USC and UCLA battled down to the wire in this 1967 classic. Trailing by 6 in the 4th quarter, USC was facing a 3rd and 7 at their own 36-yard line. USC quarterback Toby Page called an audible and handed off to O.J. Simpson. Simpson ran outside, got a key block and cut back to the middle, running 64 yards for the final touchdown of the game. USC won the game 21 - 20.
