With under 5 minutes to go in the 1986 AFC Championship the Broncos were down a touchdown and starting from their own 2 yard line. Elway led Denver 98 yards for the touchdown in what is now know as "The Drive". The Broncos went on to win the game 23-20 in overtime and advance to the Super Bowl.

In the first quarter of Super Bowl 50, Von Miller rushed the quarterback and forced a fumble which was scooped up by Malik Jackson for a touchdown. The Broncos would go on to win their first Super Bowl since 1999 by a score of 24-10.
