Under two minutes into OT Tomas Sandstrom got the puck out of the corner to Luc Robitaille who passed it to Wayne Gretzky swooping in to the net. Gretzky hit it home to force Game 7. In Game 7 Gretzky got a hat trick to propel Los Angeles on to its first ever Stanley Cup Finals.
